The party don't start til I walk in--K$ (and night out tips!)

Super late post! Internet went gaga over the past two days. grrr

May 22, 2012
Caught up in digging through the very shallow depth of knowledge I have for CSS (yes, I am still in the process of putting pieces together for this blog, so please bear with me. hmm I actually have to ask help from my brother who's an expert at it), I didn't notice it was 1800 already.

It usually takes me 30mins to shower, and 45mins to dress, accessorize, and apply make-up. I am such a turtle, I know. Having only half an hour to do everything, this is the quickest look that I could pull, with very little [just powder and that strip of eyeshadow, i was not able to finish dolling up :))] make-up.

Earlier, Mother called and told me to be ready by 1830 bec they were going to pick me up. They wanted to go have some fun. It's not that big of a deal, really. But I find it totally superb that my Mother and I go out and party together.
Mom and I are havin a blast

We went to one of the most haunted (no, not in a scary sense) local karaoke bar called Willsbar. It's certainly one of the best hubs of its kind-- updated songs, clean rooms, yummy food, very affordable room rates, and very amiable crew (it's totally a plus if crew are friendly). They have two room types, the classy one: bigger room, with computer/net and own comfort room; and the standard: just a lil bit smaller, without the PC and CR. But even if there's no PC in the standard rooms, the whole place is WiFi-friendly so no frets on having to go online (well, as long as you have your techies with you).

With me were my mom, Mary, Dimple, auntie Alma, Manong driver (sorry, don't know his name :D), Alvin and his family. Elton and Bob came too but hey had to leave early.

So this was us (Dimple, me, Alvin) havin a groovin time
singing our hearts out and dancing our bodies to the beat of every song. :))
With Mary and Dimple
So how to enjoy a night without having to spend much?

1. Go out with people you can totally relate to and be comfortable with. No sense in going out and feeling like a stranger because your "friends" have their own world. But yes, it's always nice to have new friends, so make sure to get comfy with them alongside having fun. ;)

2. Dress comfortably and appropriately. Aside from being comfy with the people you're with, be sure that you could move around with what you're wearing. Be mindful of the dress codes of the place you're gonna go to.

3. Don't glue up to your gadgets. There's a reason why it's called going out, or night out. While you can go online and check out updates, tweet that yer having an oh-so-awesome time, take pics and upload it on instagram or whatever you wanna do, but don't stick around it for too long. You're supposed to mingle with your friends. Otherwise, you shoulda stayed home.

4. Participate. In whatever you've agreed to do--karaoke, clubbing, pooling, etc-- don't be the KJ. Unless of course if it's bad for you, or against your principles.

5. Try something new. It's always nice to frequent at your favorite place, but there are others that you and your berks haven't probably gone to. If you always go to karaoke bars (Willsbar) try going to a place where there's still karaoke but with a billiard pool this time (Loreto's). I'd include Whatever, but do they have a pool there? I forgot. :D

6. Enjoy the night. That's self-explanatory.

These are very basic tips but are very helpful esp if you're still starting to get out there. To havin a good time in the simplest ways! Cheers!xxx

Fairy Godmother

I was supposed to blog yesterday but I had a spontaneous slumber party @ my cousins' house. A timeline of yesterday is what I can do for now.

5/20/12,  10AM-- An employee who became a close friend to our family asked me to be the godchild of her daughter, Trisha Mae. The Baptism was to be held at the church near their house at Bulua, at 10AM, as she texted as. However, my mother and I arrived a mere 10 minutes after the scheduled time and all we caught up on was the pictorial session. -__-" It started earlier than they thought it would and ended in a jiffy. So after posing for a few shots, we went to their house and had lunch.

Trisha Mae :)

2PM I asked my cousin to come over at the house and to bring along her son, Alexander, my other godchild, bec I was bored and wanted to go to the mall. So they did. But mother didn't allow us to go out bec she was going out to get a massage and no one was going to be left here. -.-" pfft. but oh well. so we stayed in. I was playing with the very hyper Xander when my cousin gave us drinks-- mine Chuckie, and his, his milk. He kept on reaching for my drink and after many failed attempts to let him drink his milk, I let him choose between his milk or my Chuckie. and he chose..*tentenenenn*

Chuckie!:))
Thus, this:
He got his Chuckie, and I got his milk, in a feeding bottle.
JK. I didn't drink that.
8PM--: We went to the compound of my maternal relatives. It was my uncle Benny's birthday. Yay, another celebration for the day. That, in a veryyyy long time, was the first gathering that all cousins (++ wives & kids) were present. There were tons of food, booze, jokes, cries and shrieks (from the babies and kiddos), and long-awaited chitchats. It was an eventful night.

Rewind to 6PM.

I took a picture of my The Body Shop Face Base
bec I was planning to write a review about it.

At 10PM.
Marco, son of my mom's cousin, played with my open bag
(stupid of me to leave it open, considering the number of kids around), and boom,
my TBS foundation was all over the floor. :(

So I'm left with an empty compact. :|

Back to my cousin's house scene.

Not able to do anything about it, I brushed the frustration aside; it wasn't like my nephew did it on purpose, and it was only half full anyway. The party went on..time flew and it was just not ending yet. But my mother and brother wanted to go home, so I decided to stay over. We gave mom and bro a ride home, got me some nighties, sent one of my cousin's gf home, and we were back at the crime scene in no time. More partying happened. I dozed off then, I don't know what time that was, my mind was too clogged up to take note. ;D

Unfortunately, I was not able to take pictures :( I was too busy chatting with my cousins and playing with my nieces and nephews. But that be okay, those memories will be kept at heart. <3

and oh, with all that's happened, I found my outfit perfect for the events-- Baptismal, Playtime with Xander, Uncle's Birthday Party. It was a very inexpensive find from a friend's online shop. Footwear is from Charles & Keith. ;)

I am but a traveler

Hello!

The title doesn't exactly have anything to do with the content, but I just love that line from the song "Journey", which was sung earlier today at Marco Hotel. My bunnie (boyfriend, that's our pet name :pp) and I decided to take a dip today since he will be bound for his hometown later this aftie.

Mi boyfie and me.

Since there're only very few big and nice pools here in our still-developing city, we went to our all time favorite Marco Hotel. In all fairness, they have a great combo of a big-enough pool, good food, and an accommodating crew, plus it's just a 15min ride from home. So on we went.

I decided to wear my swimmies (Nafnaf) as my top, covering it up with a wrap from Wrap it,
and pairing it with a highwaisted animal-printed leggings which was given to me.
Hat: SM department store
Bag: Mags

My all time fave sunnies: DKNY
To our surprise, there was a summer swimming clinic going on, and it also happened to be their "graduation" day, therefore, there were many many kids. Oh how frustrated we were. We kind of thought of having a desolated yet amicable atmosphere, but we knew then we weren't gonna have one. Nnnggh but we decided not to let that ruin our date.

To that magical moment!

Indeed we had a splendid time. We ate breakfast, swam, and just bonded in our superb and nifty ways ;) Having a good date doesn't always necessarily have to be expensive. Sometimes, it only needs you and him/her, and you could be anywhere--doing crazy-fun things, or just being silent, and both of you could feel the most magical moment yet. Oh yeah, that's me bein cheesy. :)) But hey, love is, right?;D

'til next time!

Everything has its first

I finally decided to create a blog that I will keep on filling. I actually am not much of a blogger-type, but I like the idea of expressing myself through blogging. I love to post pictures and make some short commentaries on whatever captivates me. But I don't like to write a lot. It tires me. But I love to let those random, sometimes crazy, sometimes vague scuttle butts out in my head. You dig me? Neh, don't bother to.

So here's to me blogging!

First off, I know I still got no readers so this post goes to defining me. (I know I'm supposed to write this in the "About Me" section, but I'd rather this be here -w-)

Hola! I am Ms. Jonnielyn D. Navarro. Most people who hear my name (minus the "lyn", which is what I usually carry) would think I'm a guy, so there, I am def not a dude.
I'm the youngest of two. But not one thought that I am. Yes, I look, act, and dress older than my age.
I'm an incoming 4th year Nursing Student. With me is mi boyfie <3

Traveling has always been my first love. Unfortunately, the King doesn't want his not-so-little-anymore princess to do so until she graduates from college. So I've only been to a few places. But behold, someday, I will not only be a snowbird, but a globetrotter ;)

I used to read a lot before college. I'm on to re-doing that. Sweet tooth. My getaway: beach. My traveler-feet's bestfriends; I'm going gaga over shoes these days. Music is my best friend. Oh yes, I am an aspiring fashion designer.  and those tips! I just love them polished and colored.

So there you go, a mini-glimpse of the snowbird. ^^,

Can't wait to blog on many many stuff soon.

Toodles!
